Contact Information - FAQ's

While e-mail is certainly a handy tool at times, we have found the telephone to be a much more effective mode of communication for answering questions and inquiries. We would respectfully request that you call us with any questions at 602-867-7058. We are available Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM MST. Most of the e-mail inquiries that we receive are too general to be properly answered, and we have found in the past that after trading three or four e-mails we resort to a phone call anyway. If you do send us an e-mail, please be patient. We are not corporate America with a dedicated person answering e-mail. We check e-mails when time allows, usually once per week.

Below we have compiled a list of our most Frequently Asked Questions. Please review this section first as it should cover ninety percent of the inquiries we receive.

1. Can you send us a catalog? We do not have a print catalog available for mailing. Two issues are involved here. The first is the size that would be required to generate a catalog that featured every item along with all the available fabric and finish samples from every manufacturer. We would wind up with a ten inch thick book along with a four foot tall stack of fabrics. The second is the cost to generate such a catalog. Our basic cost per catalog would be $325 per catalog, which we would have to factor into our overhead if we offered such a beast.

Having said all of this, we tend to feature our best sellers on the internet, along with the links to our best manufacturers. You can shop our frame styles very easily and economically this way. If you see a style that is close to what you are looking for, give us a call and tell us what you would like to change. We can send you photographs of products that are closer to what you have in mind for your home.

2. Do you sell replacement cushions? Yes we sell replacement cushions for the furniture and manufacturers that we carry. The key here is “for the furniture and manufacturers that we carry”. Unless your furniture is from one of our manufacturers, chances are that any cushion we would order for will NOT fit your frames even though the style looks the same. There is no such thing as a generic cushion.

If you do not know who manufactured your frames, there is hope. If you are in the Phoenix area, the simple solution is to stop by one of our retail stores. Bring in a set of your current cushions and let’s see if one of our cushion sets are identical. If we are too far away for a visit, then give us a call. We will be more than happy to see if we can determine who your manufacture was, and send out some fabric samples that may work for you. We can also use fabric that you supply us to give your upholstered items that one of a kind look.

3. Can I place an order off of the internet? Ordering bedroom items off of the internet is very simple. Basically what you see is what you will be getting. Again, the easiest way to do this is typically by telephone, as we can gather all pertinent information as well as answer any questions or concerns that you may have.

When it comes to upholstered items such as living room, dining sets, and barstools, ordering off of the internet is not so easy. We simply offer to many variables with fabrics and finishes to show everything. If you are in the Phoenix area, the simple solution is to stop by one of our retail stores and take a look at what we have. If we are too far away for a visit, then give us a call. We will be more than happy to discuss your needs and send out available fabric and finish samples that might work for you. We can also use fabric that you supply us to give your upholstered items that one of a kind look. Call for details.

4. Do you ship out of state? Yes we do. In fact a lot of our manufacturers will ship directly to you at a substantial freight savings. To give you an accurate freight quote, we will need to know the exact pieces you wish to purchase, your zip code, and if we will be shipping to a residence or business. However, there are certain issues to remember.

First, concerning freight rates, it is always cheaper to ship to a business rather than a residence. Freight companies like going to places where they can show up unannounced during normal business hours and have some one to help unload the trucks.

Second, when delivering to a residence most freight companies only deliver to the front curb. Moving the furniture into the house will be your responsibility. Most of the time a reasonable tip to the driver can negate this issue. However, you should still plan on having help available to receive your furniture. Be advised that most freight companies do not call for an appointment, they just show up.

The final issue with freight involves touch-ups and/or major damage. Every piece of furniture that we receive we fully inspect and correct any small defects and shipping scuffs that may have occurred before we make final delivery locally. When shipping out of state we will not be at your home to perform this service. Most small defects are easily correctable, and we can certainly walk you through the procedures over the phone.

In the event of major damage, it will be you responsibility as the receiving party to document the damages and file the appropriate freight claims. The only way to be completely sure that you have received furniture that has not been freight damaged is to un-box and unwrap your furniture, and inspect it for damage before signing the freight bill. This is especially critical for any boxes that show damage, such as cuts, tears, or punctures of any kind.

Having said all of this and probably scaring you from ordering, freight damage is extremely rare, with major damage occurring less than one percent of the time. The few problems that have occurred in over twenty years have been resolved quickly because our customers followed the above procedures.

Shipping times will vary depending primarily upon the distance you live from Phoenix or the manufacture that you purchase from. A second consideration is the size of the town that you live in, and its distance from a major freight terminal. Freighters, like airlines, use a terminal system to move their cargo. If shipping cross country, your furniture might be transferred through three or more terminals. If you live in a rural area, the original freighter might assign your furniture to a regional freight company for final delivery. Give us a call and we can discuss your specific situation, and give you a reasonable shipping estimate both in dollars and time.
